DIRECTOR
ALAN WALSH
Alan Walsh is a talented and award-winning film director and writer who is based in Dublin. He is a member off Equity, and a member of the Screen Directors Guild Ireland. In 2006 Alan won the International Film Award for Best Director (Short) for his film WHAT IF at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival. His film also garnered him both Best Director and Best Short Film Awards at the 2006 Los Angeles International Film & Video Festival. WHAT IF also won the coveted Audience Award at the 2007 Chicago Irish Film Festival. Alan also wrote and directed the award winning short film NO JUSTICE and VICIOUS CIRCLE in 2006. All his films have received world-wide distribution.
Alan has worked in the film industry for 28 years. He served as 2nd Unit Director for the Fox TV series MYSTIC KNIGHTS. He was the Military Advisor for the 2006 film THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY. He served as Stunt Coordinator for several TV series and Films. Over the years Alan has worked closely with some of best-known and respected directors in the world including Mel Gibson, John Boorman, Neil Jordan, Alan Parker, Joel Schumacher, Pen Densham, and Ron Howard. He has become particularly close friends with noted director Jim Sheridan (IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, BROTHERS). Alan’s keen observation and hands-on-experience working alongside these titans of the industry have afforded him the insight and capability to direct outstanding films, as evidenced by his recent director awards. Recently Alan completed writing an expanded screenplay for the comedy “WHAT IF” to be produced as a feature film. Actors Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Jonathan Rhys Myers have all expressed interest in the project. Most recently Alan has teamd up with the award winning auirthur Cary Holladay to work on the screenplay for “The Last Sundance” which tell the story of what happened to Butch and Sundance Kid told to by the 92 year old Etta Place Sundance's girl friend.

Alan Directed Nine episodes of Mystic Knights a TV Series for Fox Television. Wrote and Directed "VICIOUS CIRCLE". Set in 1916. (short and has been given worldwide distribution) Wrote and Directed "What If" Award winning. (Short) Which Won best short film and Best Director for Alan, in the Los Angeles & New York International Independent Film & Video Festival & won an audience at the Chicago Film festival 2007. Alan also wrote and directed "No Justice" (drama which he won Best Director. The film also won best music score at the Underground Cinema festival.
